It was in the year of 2006 when i used internet dating for the very first time. on-line dating had never been something i had ever trusted and definitely something that i never wanted to try. A friend of mine came round to my house for a drink one day while i sorted the barbecue out and he was telling me how through internet dating he had found someone that he really liked and she lived in our very town. I just laughed and said she is probably living the other side of the world really but he showed me a picture and my jaw must have dropped to see that it was actually one of my ex girlfriends. I never said anything and didn't mind as we had broken up many years before and i really did think that they would actually have made a really good couple. As it happens he never actually met up with her as he found someone else while out clubbing one night and he just fell straight in love.

For weeks i couldn't get it off my head about my friend meeting somebody in his own town. I finally gave in to my temptation and set up my internet and started searching for internet dating which to my surprise came up millions of results. I registered with a few and logged in to see what they had to offer. I sorted my profile and searched for local girls from my town and the surrounding areas. There were quite a few but none of which i had ever seen before or didn't remember ever seeing before. Straight away all my old thoughts of it all being fake flooded back into my head and i switched off my computer. However, my thoughts of trying internet dating just would not leave my head so one day when i was bored i decided to give it a better go and i filled out my profiles on the sites and started to chat to a few of the local girls. I remember thinking how strange that they did actually know the area and that they must have been from the town so i emailed a few and arranged some dates.

The girl i met on the first date was amazing but i knew straight away that she wasn't what i was looking for in a woman. As she left i gave her a kiss on the cheek and went home thinking well one date ain't bad and i still use the internet dating and still searching for that perfect partner.
